THE IMPORTANCE OF TEACHING PATIENT SAFETY TO STUDENTS OF TASHKENT MEDICAL ACADEMY

Abstract

Patient safety is a critical aspect of healthcare that ensures the protection of patients from harm and enhances the quality of care provided. Teaching patient safety to medical students is essential in cultivating a culture of safety within healthcare systems. This study explores the importance of incorporating patient safety education into the curriculum of the Tashkent Medical Academy. The aim is to equip future healthcare professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to recognize, manage, and prevent potential risks and errors in clinical practice. The study highlights the significance of early education in patient safety to improve clinical outcomes, minimize medical errors, and foster a proactive approach to patient care. The findings suggest that integrating patient safety education into medical programs enhances students' understanding of safety protocols, improves their decision-making skills, and contributes to the overall improvement of healthcare delivery
