MEDICAL DEONTOLOGY AND HUMAN COGNITION: INTEGRATION OF IATROGENESIS, EUTHANASIA, CLINICAL PRACTICE, AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPROACHES

Abstract

This article analyzes the subjective and objective aspects of human cognition from an integrated perspective of philosophy, psychology, and medicine. Cognition — encompassing perception, reasoning, memory, emotional regulation, and neurophysiological processes — plays a crucial role in modern medical practice. The study examines medical deontology, iatrogenesis, euthanasia, clinical practice, accurate medical documentation, shift handover procedures, physician–patient communication, and diagnostic processes supported by artificial intelligence (AI) from a cognitive standpoint. The role of AI in supporting clinical decision- making and its intersection with medical ethical issues is also analyzed. Through an interdisciplinary approach, this paper provides a scientific foundation for enhancing physicians’ cognitive and ethical competencies, improving diagnostic accuracy, and reducing iatrogenic risks.
