Abstract: Background: Medical tourism trends reflect growing cross-border healthcare collaborations. India and Uzbekistan have strengthened bilateral ties, contributing to increased patient flows and healthcare market growth. Objective: To analyze current trends, statistical data, collaborative initiatives, and market dynamics underlying the India-Uzbekistan medical tourism corridor in 2025. Methods: Review of government reports, tourism and health ministry statistics, bilateral agreements[7,8], and peer-reviewed literature related to medical tourism flows and infrastructure development. Results: In early 2025, India received over 131,000 medical tourists, including approximately 8,900 from Uzbekistan[1,2]. Uzbekistan welcomed over 48,500 medical tourists, with increasing inbound flows from India. India’s medical tourism market is projected to grow at a 12% CAGR[3,4], reaching USD 18.2 billion in 2025. Cost-effective treatments attract Uzbek patients to India, favouring cardiac, orthopaedic, and oncology procedures. Bilateral investments, telemedicine, and digital visa facilitation support corridor expansion. Conclusion: The India-Uzbekistan medical tourism partnership is rapidly evolving, driven by strategic diplomatic ties, regulatory facilitation, and mutual market complementarities. Sustainable growth requires ongoing innovation, quality assurance, and ethical patient management.
