| Abstract: | Healthcare tourism is not a recent trend, but a practice that has been known for centuries. It’s a practice of travelling across borders combined with leisure since the times of the Greek, Roman and Chinese civilizations(1). Today, it has become a newly profitable service industry that, from the supply side, offers the ability to provide medical treatment and the opportunity to explore different geographical destinations. As a result, it has evolved into a specialized worldwide market with significant sustainability value(2). India is in a good position to get benefits from the growing global demand for medical tourism. Uzbekistan is a leading country in medical tourism in Central Asia(3). |
