Obesity is a significant public health issue affecting millions worldwide. As the prevalence of obesity among children and adolescents continues to rise, understanding the role of dietary factors, such as the glycemic index (GI) of foods, becomes increasingly important in developing effective dietary interventions. This thesis explores how the GI of foods consumed by children and adolescents with obesity impacts their overall health and the potential benefits of incorporating low-GI foods into their diets.en_US
