Abstract:
Currently there are a number of problems concerning independent education in the higher education system. Independent work topics should be focused on specific research or problem solving. But today, independent study subjects in science are aimless or not aimed at solving a specific problem. Also, the low level of students’ proficiency in a foreign language leads to the fact that they are cut off from modern information in this area. Also, students are not provided with knowledge on how to prepare research work during their undergraduate studies. This has a negative impact on the skills to develop scientifically sound proposals. When assigning topics for independent work, it is necessary to take into account the psychological and physiological capabilities of the student. In conclusion, it should be noted that it is necessary to expand the role of independent education in the training of qualified personnel in the field of preventive medicine, which, in turn, serves to increase students’ desire for self-knowledge and interest in their future profession.
