Objective: To study the genotypes of the TNF-α gene (G-308A) in
mixed and nephrotic forms of chronic glomerulonephritis and to an alyze their distribution. Material and methods: The study was con ducted at the nephrology department of the multidisciplinary clinic of
the Tashkent Medical Academy. The study involved 80 patients aged
18 to 60 years diagnosed with chronic glomerulonephritis. The control
group consisted of 125 people. All subjects were born in Uzbekistan and
are not related. Results: The G allele and the GG, GA genotypes of the
G-308A polymorphism of the TNF-α gene are significantly associated
with the development of the disease, but do not reach reliable signifi cance. In the future, individual therapy and the use of biomarkers that
determine the prognosis of the disease are proposed based on these
genetic markers. Conclusions: The study of polymorphisms of other
inflammatory and immune genes will allow a deeper understanding of
the pathogenesis of chronic glomerulonephritis. |
