dc.description.abstract This study examines the reproductive health awareness and behaviors of young people in Uzbekistan, focusing on their knowledge of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and reproductive health practices. Through a mixed-method approach, data were collected from 244 participants, aged 14-20, using anonymous questionnaires. The findings reveal that 71% of respondents have engaged in sexual activity, with 36% having multiple sexual partners and 28% not using contraception, raising concerns about the spread of STIs. Additionally, over 50% of participants lack adequate knowledge about HIV transmission, highlighting the need for improved sexual health education. The study also found that only 35% of respondents understood the concept of reproductive health, and many rely on informal sources for information. The research emphasizes the importance of creating youth-friendly medical and educational centers to improve reproductive health awareness and services. Future efforts should focus on comprehensive sexual education to address these critical gaps in knowledge and promote healthier practices. en_US
