Abstract. This article discusses the features of bioimpedance analysis in women with metabolic syndrome and vitamin D deficiency. The study included 100 patients who had a confirmed diagnosis of metabolic syndrome and hypovitaminosis D. It was found that vitamin D deficiency affects carbohydrate and fat metabolism, reduces tissue sensitivity to insulin and can contribute to inflammation in adipose tissue, aggravating the course of metabolic disorders.

bioimpedance analysis - fat and muscle mass, phase angle, extracellular fluid - and vitamin D levels. The results of the study showed that low vitamin D levels are associated with increased fat mass, decreased muscle mass and increased impedance values. The findings confirm that bioimpedance analysis is an informative and reliable method for assessing body composition, unlike traditional anthropometric indicators such as body mass index.
