dc.description.abstract Beyond genetics, overall human health is an integration of multiple environmental signals that begin at conception and act through epigenetic modifications. Environmental factors that influence epigenetics include behavior, nutrition, and chemicals and industrial pollutants. This review examines the impact of the environment on the epigenome, health, and disease, with a particular focus neurodegenerative diseases. en_US
