The review discusses the current
state of the issue of interaction of Brucel
la with the macroorganism. Information
is provided on the mechanisms of Bru
cella persistence in the host body due to
their ability to persist for a long time in
the cells of the immunophagocytic sys
tem. The role of macrophages in brucel
losis infection has been demonstrated.
