Abstract:
Abstract: In chronic pyelonephritis in pregnant women, the immune system is in a state of
increased immunosuppression, which exacerbates the normal physiological changes that occur
during pregnancy. This is reflected in a decrease in the immune response, in particular, the
number of T-lymphocytes decreases and the phagocytic activity of leukocytes decreases, but the
number of B-lymphocytes increases. There is also an inhibition of nonspecific protection factors
(decreased levels of complement and lysozyme) and an increase in the level of immune complexes
in the blood.
