dc.description.abstract Infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19) often occurs in patients with various cardiovascular risk factors and cardiovascular diseases (CVD), which can affect the course of the infectious process. On the other hand, with COVID-19, additional damage to the heart and blood vessels is possible, contributing to the occurrence of cardiovascular complications and aggravation of the course of CVD. This review examines the main facts concerning these interactions, as well as some practical approaches to the management of patients with the simultaneous presence of COVID-19 and cardiovascular pathology en_US
