| dc.description.abstract | This study examined polymorphisms of the AGTR1 and AGTR2 genes in 153 patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Molecular genetic analysis revealed an increased frequency of single nucleotide polymorphisms in these genes, which influence the activity of the renin angiotensin system. It was found that CKD progression is associated with the presence of the C allele of the AGTR1 gene (encoding the angiotensin II type 1 receptor) and the G allele of the AGTR2 gene (encoding the angiotensin II type 2 receptor). | en_US |
